It just meant that most everywhere we could we had Virginia-inspired items. Our invitations had a dogwood flower watermark. Our tables were named after famous Virginia landmarks. Our food was Virginian/southern (mac & cheese bar - mmmmm). Our favors were chocolate covered virginia peanuts. Oh, and our cake was covered in edible dogwood flowers:
Hey, I'm coming out to Williamsburg, Virginia in June for a few months to work in a summer camp.. I was wondering what you reccommend seeing or going whilst I'm there?
The most obvious answer is Colonial Williamsburg, since you’ll be right there. Do a ghost tour while you’re there - very cool. If you’re looking for history, the Jamestown settlement isn’t very far either, and it’s very cool to see the first colony that started our country.
And of course, Busch Gardens Williamsburg. It’s consistently listed as one of the best amusement parks in the world. Unfortunately they just got rid of the Big Bad Wolf roller coaster, but the replacement ride looks cool too.
